Portal Redesign for Real Estate Company

PROCESS The real estate company offers rental and sales options for houses, with the possibility for users to purchase plots year by year. Users wishing to join the program are assessed based on their economic, legal, and other relevant conditions. The company uses an internal portal to verify if a user is an appropriate candidate, and once accepted, users can fully utilize the portal. In this project, we redesigned a tenant portal that was experiencing not only functional issues but also significant usability problems. The portal had many subsections and hidden parts that were difficult for users to find. We began the process by analyzing the portal to identify the usability issues. Key sections were hidden, making the portal frustrating to use. We completely redesigned the portal, reorganizing the information architecture to highlight the most important and frequently used sections. To make navigation easier, we implemented breadcrumbs. This allows users to see their current location within the portal and easily return to the previous section or the homepage from any part of the flow. Additionally, we focused on accessibility, as the previous design used color combinations in buttons and text that were not accessible.
